Chick-fil-A has maintained its position as America’s favorite restaurant for eight years in a row, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
That’s in spite of the fact that overall, consumers prefer full-service restaurants over fast food.
The survey found that Americans’ satisfaction with fast food restaurants decreased by 2.6% in the last year, earning the category a score of 76. Meanwhile, full-service restaurants maintained their score of 80 from 2021.
The ACSI released its annual restaurant survey for the 2021-2022 year on Tuesday.
Even though fast food declined in popularity this year, Chick-fil-A maintained its score of 83, the highest score in the ACSI restaurant survey.
Following Chick-fil-A in the fast food category, sandwich chain Jimmy John’s and “All Other” fast food chains scored 79 this year.
Domino’s and KFC both scored 78, while four chains — Chipotle, Panera, Pizza Hut and Starbucks — scored 77.

Fast food restaurants that scored 76 included Arby’s, Five Guys and Papa Johns, while Burger King, Little Caesars, Panda Express and Subway all scored 75.
Dairy Queen, Dunkin’ and Sonic scored 74 and Wendy’s scored 73.
Meanwhile, Jack in the Box and Taco Bell scored 72, while Popeyes scored 71.
The fast food chain with the lowest score was McDonald’s coming in at 68 (down 3% from last year).
The chain with the biggest decrease was Dunkin’, which went down 4% from last year, dropping from 77 in 2021 to 74 in 2022.

In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, a rep for Chick-fil-A said: “We are honored by the results of this survey and we are grateful to our customers for choosing Chick-fil-A – it’s truly our pleasure to serve them.”
“More than 170,000 people represent Chick-fil-A in 2,700 restaurants,” the spokesperson said. “This recognition is acknowledgment of the care they put into serving great food with gracious hospitality. Every day, our restaurant Team Members go above and beyond each day to create a friendly, welcoming place to visit.”

I just counted. There are 18 within 50 miles of Boston. The closest one to me is two towns over.

I think that their service is exceptional. The workers are always pleasant and accommodating. That's a biggie to me. Everyone and thing is very clean. Another biggie. But personally I'm not overwhelmed by the product.

I'll go there about as often as I go to Mickey D's or Burger King or Popeyes - about once or twice a year, maybe less. I'm not a fast food junkie at all.

I posted this at another forum a few years ago...Anyone with 1/2 a brain can figure out why this keeps happening...It's not enough that these places are serving you food that you can make at your house for pennies on the dollar...They hire the derelicts of society to cook for you and spread their hepatitis and other diseases...At least Chick filet tries...

"All anyone needs to do when comparing the 2 is look at the employees that are cooking and handling your food and the answer will become obvious...I will never forget the last time I ate at any fast food restaurant years ago and it was actually a Popeye's in Sc that happened to be in same shopping center as Chic Filet...Popeye's was brand new and one of the first in our area and had a special....Chic Filet had line around building and they didn't,so I decided to give a try...



Walked in a went to bathroom to wash hands and the smell was unreal! During washing of hands this 350+ man comes out of stall with dirty uniform and disheveled unclean look after dropping possibly the nastiest shit in the history of man and calmly walks right by me and out the door...I finish washing hands and go to counter to order and see it is him back in kitchen cooking...I have no idea whether he washed hands or not...Then the girl taking order is smacking chewing gum while asking what I want...I tell her I left wallet in car and would be right back...Obviously I didn't return...



Walk into each and look at employees and you will know the true winner..."

I worked at a McDonalds when I was a kid.

We had pride, we hustled, we had good sanity habits, and we had regional supervisors always popping in to grade us

McDonald's business plan was to hire kids at low wages and they expected high turnover. One thing that changed since then, silly people argue that these joints are supposed to pay wages to support their families. No, people wanting to support their families need to fiqure out how to do that. Not expect companies to change their business plan.

Anyhow, might point being before I digressed, there are good people and there are assholes in every walk of life.

PDQ and Raising Canes so much better. All Chik-Fil-A is food made with MSG to bring you back just like Chinese food. Chik-Fil-A and Shake Shack are cults so they attract the FOMO crowd. I'm still baffled what people see in Shake Shack. The burger is incredibly small for the price. The fries are frozen and not cut fresh. Wendy's is better and they are a national chain.
